1. About this policy

Artesian ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website at artesianinvest.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where we operate internationally, we also observe applicable local privacy laws.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

If you contact us via email or submit your details through a form on our website, we may collect your name, email address and any other information you choose to provide. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry or provide the service you have requested.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect standard server log information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL and pages visited. This information is used for security monitoring and to maintain the performance of our website. We do not use analytics tracking scripts or set cookies for visitor tracking.

Session storage

Our website uses browser session storage for navigation purposes only (for example, scrolling to a specific section after navigating between pages). This data is temporary, is not transmitted to any server, and is cleared when you close your browser tab.

3. Third-party services

Our website integrates a limited number of third-party services that may process data independently.

  • Vimeo. Certain pages embed video content hosted by Vimeo. When you play a video, Vimeo may collect information and set cookies in accordance with its own privacy policy.
  • Mapbox. Our office locations page loads static map images from Mapbox. These image requests may transmit your IP address to Mapbox servers. No interactive map scripts are loaded. See Mapbox's privacy policy.
  • Sanity CDN. Images and content are served via Sanity's content delivery network (cdn.sanity.io). Standard CDN request data (IP address, user agent) may be processed by Sanity in accordance with its privacy policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party analytics or advertising services.

4. Cookies

Our website does not set cookies. However, third-party services embedded on our site (such as Vimeo video players) may set their own cookies when you interact with their content. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

5. How we use your information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and requests.
  • Maintain the security, performance and integrity of our website.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for direct marketing unless you have given your explicit consent.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Our website is served over HTTPS and our hosting infrastructure implements industry-standard security measures.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider in accordance with its standard retention policies.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to request access to, and correction of, any personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us or with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Our website contains links to external websites, including LinkedIn, news publications and portfolio company sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
