Gilles Plante

Gilles is a Partner at Artesian responsible for Artesian’s Venture Capital as a Service (VCaaS) business.

VCaaS provides bespoke investment solutions to government organisations, corporates, industry groups and family offices. Artesian’s VCaaS partnerships include managing VC funds/investments for GrainCorp, Coca Cola EuroPacific Partners, and InvoCare. Gilles sits on the Investment Committees of Artesian VC funds.

The VCaaS business leverages Artesian’s role as a VC investor/practitioner to provide partners access to the financial and strategic returns of the innovation ecosystem. VCaaS helps partners build early-stage startup ecosystems to help them access distributed R&D, build de-risked M&A pipeline and gain strategic context regarding threats/opportunities from the firehose of startup activity.

Prior to joining Artesian, Gilles spent over 25 years in Financial Markets and International banking, where he held roles including CEO Asia Pacific, Deputy CEO Institutional & International Banking and Global Head of Markets for ANZ Banking Group and Crédit Suisse Bank.

Gilles graduated with a Master of Computer Science Engineering degree (M.Sc) from ESME, Paris and has completed executive leadership degrees at Duke University and MIT Sloan School of Management.
